Application · Cotton
Reactive dyes for cotton textile processing.
Cotton knits, woven fabrics, hosiery, towels and bed linen can all use reactive dyes, but the best product choice depends on the actual substrate, shade, process and performance requirement.
Cotton applications
One fibre. Different production priorities.
Knits / hosiery
Repeat shades, batch consistency, dark-shade economics and fast production response.
Woven cotton
Shade, finishing, performance specification and process fit for the actual article.
Towels
Large repeat programmes make consistency, supply continuity and customer documents especially important.
Bed linen
Repeat-shade control and export-customer performance/document requirements.
Garment dyeing
State the exact garment composition, construction, target shade and process route.
Deep shades
For blacks and very deep shades, compare colour yield, wash-off, repeatability and total cost-in-use.
Build a useful trial
Send the process context with the shade.
If you are evaluating a new reactive grade, include the cotton article/construction, machine or dyeing route, target standard, current products, trial size and monthly consumption.
FAQ
Cotton reactive-dye questions
Can I send a competitor recipe or existing approved grade?
Yes. It gives Mehran a more meaningful benchmark for the shade and commercial discussion.
Can I send a physical shade standard?
Yes. A controlled physical standard is generally more useful for technical evaluation than screen colour alone.
What documents should I request before approval?
State the exact product and your customer’s requirements. Common requests include TDS, SDS, COA and product-specific compliance evidence where available.
